Due diligence services can be delivered in a variety of guises. Our experience is primarily in assessing development schemes (at design, pre-design and/or pre-contract stages) on behalf of investors and clients and as part of a team we are responsible for ensuring that the proposals are being developed in line with the key scheme criteria. The key is understanding what is most important to the client and how we can ensure that as part of the due diligence process the expectations of the client are realised. The due diligence process is also carried out either directly for a funder or with a shared duty of care with the client and funder. Technical, operational, service, financial, procurement, quality and timing issues are among a raft of factors that need consideration at the due diligence stage. These services are usually offered in tandem with Development Monitoring services which follow the pre-design and pre-contract stages. We are also involved in advising corporate and more recently residential investment opportunity funds.
