Client
Needs
The client required Harris Associates to act as the Employers Agent to oversee and manage the removal of the combustible insulation behind the cladding. It was agreed with the Fire Engineer that the panels could be reused, we then instructed the contractor to design a build up that would be suitable.
As part of the client’s brief, we were unable to disrupt the running of the leisure centre under any circumstances. Harris Associates also had to manage the fact another principal contractor was on-site at the same time.
What
We Did
- Harris Associates confirmed the brief and services with the client and carried out an extensive survey of the property, which included intrusive investigations where necessary.
- Following site inspections, the specification of the works was drafted and tendered to suitable contractors.
- Once the contractor was appointed, site visits to monitor the progress and quality of the works were undertaken, providing the client with detailed reports on all aspects of the works.
