Client
Needs

The client contacted Harris Associates to advise on a tenant’s licence for alterations concerning a restaurant remodel and refurbishment in London’s Notting Hill.

The Michelin star restaurant is positioned over ground and lower ground floors and the restaurant tenant proposed to undertake refurbishment works with an 8-week construction programme.

What
We Did

Harris Associates worked on behalf of the Landlord to review and approve the Licence works and liaised with the Landlord’s solicitor regarding the technical content of the legal documentation.

Scope of Works

  • Layout modifications and re-configuration
  • Bathroom refurbishment
  • Kitchen refurbishment
  • Floor finishes
  • FF&E
  • External decorations and signage

Project Complexities

During the final inspection, Harris Associates’ survey noted areas of the existing restaurant which although did not fall within the LTA scope, were deemed non-compliant in terms of Building Regulations. Harris Associates provided the client and tenant’s project team with advice and recommendations to ensure that additional works were undertaken during the project to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
