I am very happy to commend Harris Associates for the 2017 Building Surveyors of The Year award. Their contract leadership on what was a complex and challenging exterior renovation project was outstanding. By working closely with CPM and the Contractor team, Matthew made sure that lessees were kept informed as were the board of directors throughout the pre and post contract phases. Their technical competence and the ability to coordinate multiple parties and on site processes whilst ensuring effective communication to all, helped deliver an excellent quality refurbishment which has also had a knock-on effect to the asset value of all of the properties in Castellain Mansions West.
Harris Associates have overseen the first major works project of our 5 year programme and it has been a real success. We have achieved exactly what we set out to do. The whole impression of the new reception and staff facilities is crisp, smart and updated. On time and on budget, no complaints and on a very complex project! A very big improvement. Well done to Shaun and his team.
As the Chairman of PBM Flats Management I have been working closely with Shaun Harris and his colleagues as we address a number of issues across our estate , including the development of a 15+ year asset management plan, liaising with the board and the leaseholders as to the cost implications capital expenditure and its implications once completed on future values, supervising the external decorations work across the building and generally getting a handle on all the issues around the estate. We had previously worked with a variety of surveyors on different projects but made the decision to appoint Harris as sole building surveyor and I am delighted with what has been achieved in a relatively short space of time.
I am copying this note to all the directors as I am sure they will be keen to know that we have reached this milestone. And in particular I would like to thank you and Shaun for all your hard work (in the face of a few problems like UKPN and antique gas pipes) in delivering common parts that we can enjoy and take pride in!
Just to echo Ian’s remarks and thank you on behalf of the SFL Board, and indeed all Widley Road leaseholders and residents who are now benefiting from the refurbishment. It’s been worth waiting for!
