Building Safety in Action: William Achieves IFE Level 3 Passive Fire Protection Certification

We’re delighted to share that our Façade Technician, William Winstanley, has officially passed the IFE Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection. This is a fantastic achievement that reflects both his dedication and our company’s commitment to investing in our people.
William only joined our team in January, yet he has settled into his new role and taken the initiative to enhance his knowledge and skills in a critical area of building safety.
The IFE Level 3 qualification, awarded by the Institution of Fire Engineers, covers vital topics such as compartmentation, fire-stopping, fire-resisting construction, and relevant legislation. Compartmentation, the practice of dividing a building into fire-resistant sections to contain fire and smoke, is one of the most important aspects of passive fire protection. In our opinion, it is more crucial and widespread than unsafe cladding in protecting life and property in the event of a fire.
William’s new qualification strengthens our capability to deliver high-quality, safety-led façade advice and inspections, especially as fire safety responsibilities become more rigorous under evolving regulations.
William said, “The course gave me a much deeper understanding of how buildings should perform in a fire. It's made me more confident in spotting issues on site and accurately advising clients.”
