Tamer Duman Achieves Member status with The Society of Facade Engineering

Harris Associates Head of Façade Consultancy, Tamer Duman has achieved member status with The Society of Façade Engineering (MSFE) after demonstrating his detailed level of education and expertise.
The SFE is a joint initiative, administered by the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), of which Tamer is also a member. The SFE was created to bring professionals together in a forum where they can work together to advance knowledge and promote good practice in façade engineering to ensure that today’s increasingly complex building facades meet the varied performance criteria.
Tamer has extensive experience in cladding and façade investigation work, façade remediation and new-build cladding projects and has developed technical experience and a broad understanding of the specific requirements to help in executing quality façades by fulfilling the demand on the design, procurement, engineering, and execution process.
After receiving confirmation of his membership Tamer said, “I am delighted to have achieved full membership status with the Society of Façade Engineering (MSFE) which is a great milestone in my career. Harris Associates have always played an integral part in support of my professional development, which I am very thankful for. Becoming a Member of the SFE has allowed me to strive to fully understand the engineering principles & fundamentals and shows the utmost commitment and core competency required to work in the built environment, especially when tackling the demand to resolve the fire performance of the external envelope. After some lessons learned, it’s now even clearer how competency plays a crucial role in future building safety. The need for a façade has always been there, historically, from the aspect of a primitive shelter for protection to a more modern, high-performance building envelope and I am fully committed to meeting the needs of communities and will be contributing to a safer and better quality of life for individuals and buildings.”
