The new BSRPD must take ‘all reasonable steps’ to ensure the design work on a project is co-ordinated to demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations and plays a critical role in the planning, design, and construction phases of a project.

The BSRPD is responsible for managing health and safety risks during the design and planning stages. This ensures that all potential hazards are identified and mitigated early in the project lifecycle, leading to safer construction and operational phases.

A list of the roles we undertake are;

Plan, manage, and coordinate the design phase to ensure the design is compliant with Building Regulations

Facilitate coordination between all design team members to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated seamlessly into the project

Implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring that safety measures are incorporated into the design and planning stages.

Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly

Liaise with the principal contractor, keeping them informed of any risks that need to be controlled during the construction phase
