The role of Employers Agent could almost be described as blending the roles of Project Manager, Lead Consultant and Contract Administrator. In construction terms, the term Employers Agent is used to describe an agent acting on behalf of a client but the actions and specifics of the role will depend upon the form of contract. In most cases, the Employers Agent is usually either the lead consultant, the project cost consultant or the project manager.
As Employers Agent we are often tasked with coordinating the tender process, dealing with the matters of consultant novation issues, collating contract documents for execution, implementing change control procedures and performing the role of Contract Administrator during the construction phase.
We are often engaged as Employers Agent as part of our Lead Consultant and/or Project Management services and sometimes in tandem with Project & Development Monitoring services.
